Approve Minutes from 10.24.2017 meeting – Mathew/Mahler – OK
Treasury Report Tom Mahler – checks written to Butler Tourism for membership and PayPal for website. Current Balance $33,744.44.
Update on Main Street Project / Kaufmann House- Don Pepe – Contracts for the Kaufman House are in place. Permits have been approved and work has started on exterior and interior. Color for outside has been chosen – Light/dark gray.
Social Media Consultant, Intern, or PR Firm– review current proposal and presentation by firms looking to work with our group.
Today’s presenter is Mark Krohn from Focal Point – Mark presented his proposal which would include finding out what is ideal for the town, focus is to generate the interest and get the word out. The info will be shared exponentially via digital media. They can run the project from setup to implementation and continue to provide updates. Initial contract is for one year and could set it up for us to take it over in future
Further discussion ensued to consider who to hire. Some felt we were getting the “cart before the horse” and felt that we need to decide for sure what we want before spending a lot of money. Since Town Associates have already been engaged by the Borough, we felt we should limit what we do until they can develop the vision. The initial need is to have someone work to coordinate the message put out by various organizations in town (some of which are: ZABA, Park Association, Service Clubs, Community Chest, Library, Historical Society, Strand Theather and the Borough itself) Moved and seconded by Clarke & Mathew to engage Sidewalk Nation @ $25/hr. and set up a meeting with Town Assoc, the board and possibly some of the organization representatives for a fact finding meeting. The intention then is for Sidewalk nation to work on our website and digital presence and pull together the other sites so that all are linked. – Approved

Next meeting date – TBD I suggest we skip December due to the Christmas Holiday and resume in January. Next meeting will be Tuesday January 16, 2018 at the Spring St Café.
